Howdy all! Just bought a spirited green 2012 Touring! So far this thing is fantastic! My first ever new car, which also means:
-First car I've ever owned with working A/C
-First car I've ever owned with working radio
-First with speakers that aren't already blown out
-First that doesn't sound like it's falling apart.

It also happens to be the first FWD I've ever owned (understeer is such a STRANGE sensation!). I'm planning to order a short antennae kit and license plate mod from corksport, any other quick, cheap mods, visual or otherwise, that anyone can recommend?

EDIT: Pic!

For someone that just bought their first new car, you made a really smart choice. Can't go wrong with buying a Mazda, the name basically speaks for it's self.

For other quick cheap yet functional mods. I would add mud guards, vent visors, window tints, brighter headlight bulbs. Not sure if your into performance, if you are i can name a number of fairly cheap mods you can do.

I'm one of the older coots but that brings a laugh because I remember that feeling a few decades ago. I was 20yo when I bought my first new car (cheap base model) that replaced the used car I had bought when I turned 16. That new model had: working A/C, disc brakes (old one had 4 drums), didn't overheat on the highway in summer and could go faster than 70mph.

What's funny, I was more happy to buy that first new vehicle than I've been on any subsequent vehicles. When your ride is a real POS then you really enjoy a new vehicle!

Brighter but not blinding or else your just defeating the purpose of having them. 6000k is where I would stop. Anything brighter is just not needed and can be blinding to other drivers making it unsafe!

Some guys run 4300k and find that to be amazingly bright.

I don't think i ever seen a aquatic blue mazda2 before, at least not in person. Sounds like a really cool looking blue, have any pictures of your M2?
I kind of wish I had gone with the silver (I had the option)... the Aquatic Blue is very strange and has dual personalities... in broad day light, it's teal and kind of gross... at night, it's the opposite and looks electric blue and bad ass. I saw the car at night, bought the car at night. **** you, short winter days. :(
