Mazda is hoping its new CX-5 and Mazda6 models will help pave the way for bigger and better things, and at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon, the Japanese automaker wanted to show off the customizing capabilities of both models.

The vehicles on display don’t offer any drastic or radical modifications, but rather show off the natural bodylines of both vehicles and how subtle accents can go a long way. Already stylish cars, the custom Mazda6 models feature styling accessories from KenStyle, a company that in the past has teamed up with Scion for its tC Release Series models. A modest upgrade on the sedan, it’s obvious that some small changes transform the Mazda6 wagon into something that looks like a 500-hp European super wagon.

For the most part, the Mazda6 (or Atenza as it is called in Japan) models on display feature mild suspension upgrades and wheels along with the KenStyle body kits, while the CX-5s flexed their versatility with similar accessories.
