as great as it's been (original clutch and no mechanical repairs-only wear and tear- at 130k) i will be looking to replace my aging 05 scion tc with the new mazda 2.
it seems like this will be the new engine-the same HP but amazing MPG:
"The new Skyactiv 1.5 develops 99bhp and 150Nm of torque and has official combined fuel consumption of 55.4mpg with CO2 emissions of 119g/km. Those figures are exactly the same as those for the 118bhp 2.0-litre SKYACTIV unit, but buyers will still save with the smaller engine because it costs £300 less and keeps insurance four groups lower."

according to wiki, the 99bhp will be the asian version while the eurpoean (& hopefully the US) will have 115bhp. MPG will go down with the increase in HP but perhaps 45 MPG is not out of the question.
