Hi all,

I’ve got 2015 new shape Mazda 2,has anyone looked at changing the dash tweeters or door woofers?
I know Mazda did an Alpine upgrade kit with Alpine Tweeters and a bass speaker for the spare wheel well.
Does anyone know if the tweeter covers just clip off without removing the dash panel?
And has anyone fitted upgrades to the door speakers, if so what size did you fit.?
Final question...☺ Most quality speakers come with a cross over in the kit, is there one in the existing wiring loom if so where is it.or sis all you need to do is just connect up the new speakers to the existing two wires or do you have to find room for the new cross over

Replacing stock door speakers in general considering that its the receivers built in amp running it, you have to remove your door panels (lots of walk through video youtube), existing speaker wires will be there depending what and how many speakers and types came with your car and they use oem clips which you have to cut or buy adapters (need speaker wires as stock usually will be too short), so mark which one is which before removal (positive, negative, woofer, tweeter). Mazda 2 door panels fits 6.5" speakers which you will need an adapter/mounting hardware (speakers dont just slap right on the door). Your considering component speakers that comes with crossovers tiny enough to fit inside the door just make sure its bolted/taped/tied so it does not rattle. Tweeters would be installed up by the corner, if you dont have existing one you need to modify the plastic or run wires if none is there. Component speakers will sound fine with receivers built in amp (25w per channel)....they are truly made for running with its own designated external amplifier which will be another long conversation if its your first time. Try Crutchfield site lots of guides there...
