Hey guys. I got about 5k miles on the 2 so far. It has developed a clunking sound over small bumps and irregularities on the road. It sounds like it might be coming from the left rear. Maybe a bad shock or shock mount loose? I will be taking it to the dealer for them to look at, but just wondered if anybody else is having a similar issue.

I'll post on here once I get it back from the dealer and let you know what, if anything, they come up with.

I haven't had that issue at 12,500 miles but I did read one User Review elsewhere about an M2 loose shock causing noise over bumps. It could also be anything from the rear seat latch or the spare tire.

You could also check some of the Fiesta Forums since they have much larger sales (I.E. complaint) numbers. Yes, the M2 is NOT an Fiesta but before I get raked over the coals, the initial development was a joint venture with Mazda/Ford and the most obvious proof shows up in the frame/suspension which could be considered exact copies. Next time you have a front tire off check the brake caliper and note the FOMOCO stamp. Engine, body and interior is all Mazda design.
