Hello, I'm Kirk from Virginia Beach. I have a 2012 2, and so far it has proven somewhat troublesome. I figured I could get some info here. I love the car, but it has been out of service longer then a new car should. At just over 3,000 miles, the transmission was fully rebuilt under warranty. It's a 5-speed manual. The head has been replaced, and the rear brakes have been replaced. I have done some work recently, including a short throw shift plate from CorkSport, an exhaust that I designed, and I painted the wheels with Rustoleum Hammered Bronze paint, giving them a unique look. Hopefully, I can get some questions answered here, and look forward to this online community of fellow 2 owners.

That is some serious work done on a new 2. What reasoning did they give for a new head and transmission?

OMG! I am so sorry. I have a 2012 Mazda 2 and it's been just amazing. It has some serious mileage on it over 30,000 and it's still zippy and reliable. Mine is an automatic.

Wow what happened to it. I have a 2011 sport with 24000 and my wife has a 2012 touring with 13000 we have had no problems at all. Do you have any pixs of your exhaust. Happy to see another 2 owner hope you have good luck with it.
