Hey gang,

Hope you're all well!! Just picked up a red 2008 Mazda 2 (DE)
  • Colour: Red
  • Transmission: Manual
  • Odometer: ~107,000km

I have the worst luck with cars, so fingers crossed that's going to change with the Mazda 2...

Cheers everyone :D

Looks like I put the moz on myself...

The rear hatch/boot actuator is randomly opening when the car is unlocked. The hatch button has a hairline crack in it. Looking on google and few other forums, is leading me to believe that moisture has gotten through the hairline crack and is potentially causing the problem.

On top of that, the key fob/remote stopped working today - pressing the button and no red light. Replaced battery and red light is working, but it won't unlock/lock the door/s. I have read somewhere, that when you replace the battery, you have to then reprogram the remote???

Anyway, couple of little bugs, hopefully, they'll be easy fixes...

Also, gave the steel wheels a couple of fresh coats of gloss black and got the windows tinted. I'll post up some photos tomorrow.

Cheers.
