Hello all, I've had my 2011 Mazda 2 Sport for just under a year now and I think its time I started personalizing it. I thought a good way to start would be to install some LEDs in the footwells. I bought two LED strips that ill place at the feet(out of sight) of the front two seats. Now ive been looking for ways to install them but i have seen several different methods on how to go about this. I wouldnt say I know a lot about wiring but I'm pretty good at interpreting any instructions you may have. As far as having the lights hooked up to a switch or simply come on when the car is on whichever is easiest would be preferred. Any help is appreciated!

Hey I put LED lights under my seats a few months ago, I wired them to my power outlet in the middle console, I have a 2012 Mazda 2, the installation was pretty easy, I just popped out the whole power outlet with a flat head screw driver, cut the wires and slid the light's wires up and I've been running strips under all four seats all through the same method and haven't had any problems, the lights come on when the car comes on, the only setback is that they don't stay on with the door lights. I bought regular white LEDs and used green electric tape over them to make the light green and used super glue because the included stuff doesn't stick well.

You can even get those ones which have adhesive on the other side of the lights, however that adhesive doesn't stick quite well and you could use super glue to fix them. I am not so good with electrics, so let's hope someone would do the needful here!
