I really don't want to deal with putting the Tire Pressure Monitoring System transmitters into aftermarket rims that weren't made for them. So, I expect I'll see some "idiot light" blinking at me on the dash. Is there any way to disable the TPMS system? I've looked at the fuse block diagram and don't see a dedicated fuse for this "feature", so I'm looking for more creative methods.

Any ideas?

You can remove the instrument cluster and take out the light bulb. And I saw on another Mazda forum that someone took the sensors from the wheels and placed them in a container in the cat, while installing his aftermarket wheels.

Removing the Dash, and removing the light bulb, seems like a lot of work just to disable a TMPS sensor.

What do you mean he put them in a Container in the cat?

Sorry, I meant in a container in the car. You can alo place a piece of tape over the dash indicator.

Ohh okay, yeah i guess that works, i think i'll just live with the light being there and take off all the TMPS sensors.

makes my tire changes easier.

Go to a reputable dealer and they will transfer the senders, or, buy another set for the new wheels.

i think best bet just leave em out... it not biggie just check your own tire pressure!
