With a focus on its core products, Mazda is examining the possibility of adding diesel powertrains to numerous high-volume models in the US while dropping some low-volume sellers entirely.

According to some sources, the next-generation Mazda2 sub-compact might not make its way to our shores. Sales of the car last year totaled just under 14,000 units. By comparison, the Ford Fiesta sub-compact, which shares the same platform, totaled 70,000 sales.

The redesigned 2014 Mazda3 will ride on an all-new platform, weighing 220 lbs less than the current car and use the brand’s new Kodo design language. Along with the current 2.0-liter SkyActiv engine, a more powerful 2.5-liter unit will be added, while the possibility of a diesel powertrain, making as much as 170-hp and 300 lb-ft of torque is rumored.

The same 2.5-liter gas engine is planned for the CX-5 as well, while it’s also likely to see use of the SkyActiv-D diesel engine as well. Both the 2.5L and the diesel will make their first appearance in the 2014 Mazda6.

Hello all, i'm new and need little help from you experts

Hello people

Just joined and would like to say hi to you all. I also have few questions about my Mazda 2 Demio 2009!
I wasn't carrying much about that care since that is my second car that i use only occasionally and have my Seat Alhambra 2012 as my every day family car ( 3 kids ), but i started lately and want to trim it a little bit just to feel better. I love that car a lot and that is my little racing devil i like to get wild in from time to time!
Now i want to buy fake leather seat covers but can't find any Looks like Mazda 2 is not popular as much as i would like it to be! So do you guys know the place where i can find good covers that will fit my Mazda 2? Are the sits the same in new models Mazda?
Also if you guys can point me to few good sites for the other trims i can do to my car like armrest and vent chrome rings and so on?
I was searching ebay a lot and found a lot of parts there but will feel safer if you can point me in the right direction
