I think I may be posting a question incorrectly but Ill ask here I have just about finished restoring my MG F which I bought as a non runner I reolaced the ECU and ALARM pack and it starts fine iI went into the garage this morning,to start tidying it up and started it up ,it fired straight away .Later a friend called to see how I was going and I went to start the engine and the horns were going off and it wouldnt start so I disconnected the horn to keep it quiet so I could make some checks with the ignition off,the bottom alarm light is on With the ignition on then the 4th light from thr top which is a triangle in a circle is an as well I can also hear a relay clicking on and off Can anyone help please The only thing I have done different this morning,was to see if the central locking worked with the new fob that came with the ecu and it did work Len

A bit more checking, problem seemed to start happening when I tried the central locking,with the key fob.Since I have the drivers door card off I tried disconnecting the central locking plugs and socket on the drivers side Now the alarm is flashing not solid ,but when the ignition is turned on,then the alarm light and the 4th one down is on Does this point to the central locking causing problem I noticed when I operate it from the key fob the central locking motor ran for a little while .Len

I have disconnected the central locking plugs on the drivers door and now the alarm light is flashing not solidly on
