Hi guys my name is Andres ,
Just got my 2012 Mazda 2 Touring package , traded in my 09 RX8 I had it for 2 months, that car was like a gorgeous woman, nice to look at, love to touch her, bathe her, but high maintenance .

So ready to star working on my 2 as an Autocross project.

I wholeheartedly agree with your view of the RX8. My dad had an 04 (or so) new. Great car, fun to take out on the back roads, but had all kinds of issues in the first couple years. Even had to be towed once when he stalled it in our (sloped, gravel) driveway while the engine was cold.

What organization do you plan to take part in, and what plans are you making for your 2?

I don't have clear when you mention the organization I wanted to take part of, maybe the SCCA? I actually was in charge of bringing back to life the SCCA Florida Region Solo program almost a year ago.

A far as my plans with the 2, well I' am actively involved with Autocross,(have been since 2001), so I will try to set my car to compete at National level.

I've always wondered what it would take for the Mazda2 to get properly setup for autocross. Are all the funds coming out of your own pocket or do you have some sponsors ready?

Maybe you can start a build thread on your autocross mazda2...
