I have a 2012 Mazda 2 (6k miles) with an automatic transmission. Recently I've noticed a slight sliding/ratcheting sound from the transmission at the instant that I'm coming to a complete stop. It happens rather regularly and when the car is warmed up to normal operating temperatures. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any feedback.

Yes, I have similar sound, a kind of click/jerk just before stopping about half the time - the other half of the time is smooth. Annoying especially when in a parking lot and trans goes from 1 to 2 and back again frequently. Dealer can't find problem, naturally, but loaner Mazda2 had hardly any problem.
