i wanted to start to change the oil myself, and wondering if anyone had any experience using a oil extractor rather than underneath.
this is the one i was considiring

Why? Its so easy and quick to pull the plug, drain the oil, replace plug and fill with 0W20 (or 5W30 if that's your preference).

You will still have to go underneath to get the filter.
