[MRL325i]

It seems that the button to release the rear hatch is dead. Anyone have experience with this? I cannot open the hatch (though there is set of instructions in the manual to open it in this event).

The switch is electronic, so you're pretty much SOL when the button is dead. Other than opening it from the inside (where you are required to pry off a small panel from the inside), I don't really see any other way around it.

I purchased a 2014 mazda2 yesterday and can't figure out how to open the hatchback …. this car sucks big time.. the gas gauge dial is so small i can't possibly see it without a magnifier glass … seriously thinking of returning this horrid used car that cost over $18,000 … what a waste of money
