Does anyone know what the od of the stock exhaust is before it goes into the muffler? I would like to get some more decibles out of mine. I think that the easiest and cheapest way is to buy a can from ebay and make my own axle back piece.

Please don't. Please save up for a full exhaust.

Looks like 1.75 to 2" though.

Sometimes its not possible (pricing) for the full exhaust. I have had success with just a Magnaflow (better name than a generic ebay exhaust) muffler put onto my car. Improved the sound and gave a little bit of noticeable performance gain....or at least in my head.
