I am considering installing some supplemental gauges on my 2.(oil pressure, water temp, and volt) I just don't trust warning lights on their own. By the time the warning light is on it is too late, and I would rather be able to monitor these. Is anyone else thinking of doing this? What gauges are most accurate? Also I want to keep them small 2" or less.

There are lots of gauges out there. Lots of brands and lots of prices. The bigger the gauge the easier to read.

I've been thinking about an UltraGauge to cover a lot of bases and to give some insight as to what the computer sees.

I've used a ScanGauge in my car for a few years. Plugs into the obd-ii port, run the cable under the dash and mount with velcro. It will read want you want plus provide many more functions including reading/resetting engine codes.

I use mine for mpgs so the 4 default settings I have - real time mpg, air temp (maf/intake), water temp and ignition timing.
