The Mazda 2 has a lot of potential considering that Mazda has some of the sportiest affordable cars like the Mazdaspeed 6, Mazdaspeed 3, and MX-5. I'm sure more than enough of us are itching to see the potential of the Mazda 2. What do you guys have planned for your Mazda 2 in terms of performance mods?

ill start with a cold air intake first and see how it goes. next would be probably a sick custom exhaust with full 2.5 inch piping to a single muffler. after that will depend on how much money i still have left. lol

Leave it stock for a bit. Probably the simple things like tinted windows and maybe an upgraded stereo. Once parts become cheaper I will look at an intake

Depending on how much it cost I want to get the supercharger kit that on the Knight Sports Mazda Demio Sport. Then the exhaust and intake. After that I'll start upgrading the sound system.

How much did the tint cost and how dark did you go? Can you show pics? I'd really like to see how good tint looks on the Mazda 2.

for me it's cold air intake, fully adjustable suspension, camber kit, sway bar, headers, cat back exhaust and a short shifter. If you haven't guessed already im planning to take my car on the road course circuit, will be my daily too.

im just going to get rims, and lower it a bit. no need for serious performance

First would be slight wider tires, going from the 185/55-15 to 195/50-15 Toyo T1R's. Next would be lowering springs, new front saw bar and read stiffening bar to improve maneuverability.

Gearing and a limited slip differential would make a significant difference on how the car handles and behaves on a circuit.

a nice drop with 17 inch wheels plus some little mazdaspeed parts and all is done!

Prob some wider rims, possibly something 16x8 or 17x8 possibly. Sway bars front and rear, well thicker ones , some coilovers if they ever come out, and some Hawks pads! and i think im good to go!

Yeah! I love that car. I was reading an article on b-spec 2 and the fit, and I was impressed by how well those cars did at the thunderhill race. Both cars in the top 20 overall and ahead of modified 911s

i will not have the engine back in my 911 by feb 4 so i decided my mazda 2 will see texas world speedway soon.
had always planned to let my son-in-law use it for an event so i can report back how a bone stock one does.
